Praktica BCA Electronic 35mm SLR With 1.8/50mm Pentacon Prakticar Lens

Made by Pentacon, Dresden (DDR, former East Germany) between 1983-1990.

Takes 35mm Film in cassettes.
It has aperture priority auto-exposure.
With few adjustments, it is easy to use thanks to its automatic mode which adjusts the speed according to the chosen aperture. Apart from this automatic mode, it is also possible to select B or 1/60th of a second.
The sensitivity setting ranges from 12 to 3200 ISO by turning the knob coupled with the rewind crank and the aperture shift device.
On the baseplate, there are two contacts and a slot in the shaft supporting the take-up spool indicating the possibility of adding a drive motor.

Praktica bayonet lens mount with EDC (electronic diaphragm control).
Includes a 1.8/50mm Pentacon Prakticar Lens.

Condition: Very good cosmetic condition with no damage and only minor marks from previous use.

It is tested and fully working. The meter, film winder, and shutter all work as they should.

The lens is clear and has only very very minor and small dust particles as expected with a lens of this age which does not affect its use.

It does not include a battery (4LR44) which is easily obtainable on ebay or Amazon.
