William Taylor, who founded a lens making company with his brother Thomas in Leicester in 1886. In 1887 W.S.H Hobson joined and became the sales face of Taylor Hobson. Later in 1939 Taylor Hobson came to supply over 80% of the world's lenses in film studios, especially in America where Hollywood was beginning to dominate the industry.

This is a fixed-focus lens with click stops from f2.5 to f16.

Suitable for Paillard Bolex Movie Cameras and all others with a D-mount.

Good condition for age. No damage. Some slight internal dust as is expected in a lens of this age though does not affect its use.

Comes with push on front lens cap marked “TH”.
