Paillard Bolex P1 Zoom Reflex 8mm Movie-Cine Camera With SOM Berthiot Lens
Classic 8mm Camera dating from 1962 with highly polished duraluminium body, covered in genuine Morocco leather. Metal parts are chrome-plated.
Includes the SOM Berthiot Pan Cinor 8-40mm f/1.9 zoom lens
Has a reflex viewfinder with built-in split-image rangefinder
Uses 25ft daylight loading spools of double run 8mm film. When a roll runs through the camera, only half the width of film is exposed. The spool is then reversed and run through again, exposing the other half. When processed, film is split and spliced together giving 50′ for projection.
Condition: Cosmetically it is in very good condition for its age. Minor body marks from previous use. Winds & Runs, but if you intend to use it then it could do with cleaning and lubrication of moving parts as it hasn’t been in use for a number of years.
The light meter is by cadmium sulfide photo-resistive cell and measures light through the lens. The meter hasn’t been checked as it is powered by a battery (Mallory RM450 not included).
This is a lovely camera and ideal for the Bolex collector.
