Thornton Pickard Imperial Triple Extension Mahogany & Brass 1/2 Plate Camera 
 
1/2 Plate Mahogany & Brass camera The ‘Imperial Triple Extension’ by Thornton Pickard of Altrincham, Cheshire UK. circa 1910. This model was referred to as The ‘New Imperial’. – an improved version of the old Imperial with additional brass fittings on the lens panel and the base frame front.

The Beck lens and the roller blind shutter are both marked Thornton Pickard and in working order. 
 
The original black leather bellows are not light tight and will need patching along some folds and corners if you intend to use it.
 
Extension rack & pinions are smooth with no problems and the leather carrying handle is in good condition for its age after over 100 years use.
 
The viewing glass is in good condition and the hinges work fine.
 
Obviously this camera will need some care and attention if it is to be used.
 
Still a superbly engineered camera, expensive in its day and great value now
 
It is an antique item so please remember it is not in mint condition and I may not have found all flaws or faults. It may not be complete although all the controls appear in working order.
