Victorian 1/4 Plate Mahogany Hand & Field Folding Camera

Folding plate camera for 3 ½ x 4 ¼ inch approx plates.

Polished mahogany body with square cornered bellows.

Double extending with rise & fall front panel.

Back panel has a removable glass focus screen which can be orientated 90deg (see photos).

Bellows seem to be in good condition with no damage.

The glass focus screen is in good condition.

All adjustments are in working order and slide correctly.

The aperture control diaphragm operates well from f8 to f64 and the lens is clean with minor dust and cleaning scratches as expected of a lens of this age.

There is some tarnishing to the metal work and minor marks to the woodwork from previous use.

It is a basic design but with a lovely look to it and could still be used today.

It is a vintage/antique used item so please remember when bidding it is not in mint condition and I may not have found all flaws or faults. It may not be complete although all the controls appear in working order.
