Pathescope 9.5mm Pathe National Cine Movie Camera With SOM Berthiot Cinor Lens France
Originally designed and manufactured in France and known there as the Pathé National, production was started in the UK before WW2. The mainstay of Pathéscope’s 9.5mm filming product for many years.
This is the Pathe National from c1954
Features the release button on the lower front of the camera, a rotatable ring selecting filming, stills or lock. Variable filming speeds 8, 16, 24 & 32fps, plus an automatically resetting film counter. The lens mount is the ‘H’ type (or D-Mount) screw mount & is fitted with a f1.9 focussing 20mm Som Berthiot Cinor C lens, internally threaded for 19mm diameter filters. The viewfinder has a flick down lever to show the wide angle field of view. Accepts the usual ‘H’ film chargers which contain around 8.2metres / 27foot 6inches of 9.5mm film.

To sum up: Single shot and motion picture settings, tripod bush and quite accurate eye-level viewfinder marked with cross-wires and settings for wideangle and telephoto field of view.
Includes SOM Berthiot Cinor 1.9/20mm interchangeable ‘D’ mount screw lens.
