Rolleiflex Rolleiflex Automat 6×6 Vintage Twin Lens Reflex Camera – RF 111A 1939

Stunning camera in superb, almost mint condition. In working order and with hardly any signs of use, it looks almost like it has never been used, of course it has, you can tell by the leather case, but even that is in fine condition with only very minor marks.
Rolleiflex Automat 6×6 – Model RF 111A

Serial No: 744092 August 1937 – March 1939

Specification:

Taking Lens: Zeiss Tessar 3,5/75 Bayonet I
Finder lens: Heidoscop Anastigmat 2,8/75mm Push on 28.5mm
Shutter: Compur – Rapid, 1 – 1/500 sec., T & B.
Film: 6×6: B II 8 (120) & 35mm with Rolleikin I adapter set.
Film Transportation: winding lever with auto stop.
Lever also cocks the shutter. Double exposure prevention.
Dimensions: 14.3×8.6×9.0cm
Weight: 850 grams.

This model has a hinged back with exposure guide.

The camera could be used with Rolleikin I to use 35mm film.

Shutter includes a release safety lock and speeds work about right as does the aperture which is smooth. Focussing is also smooth.

Both lenses are clean and clear with very minor dust as expected with a camera of this age (70yrs).

Viewfinder is bright and clear with cross-hair screen and pop-up magnifying lens.

The only faults I’ve found, I can’t get the self-timer to work, I suspect it has seized having never been used, and the small black fabric cover on the top film spindle is missing.

Cosmetically it is excellent for the age of the camera with just very minor marks from use.

The case is also in excellent condition, with no fraying or opening of the stitching and a strong usable strap.
A very desirable camera of the period.
